Each sound is represented by one symbol in Aiola. Symbols can composed of either one or two letters. Click on each symbol to hear its sound. The sounds are repeated twice in order to give the learner the opportunity to repeat the sound after the speaker. These sounds are in MP3 format. Aiola has five vowels: a, e, i, o, u. All the other symbols represent consonants of the language. Four consonant sounds are represented in written speech with diagraphs (two-letter symbol).
